Radiographs, or x-rays, are a very commonly used diagnostic tool at a veterinary hospital. It allows us to have a look at the animal to evaluate multiple bones and even internal organs.

How do you use x-ray and radiology services at your clinic?

Radiology is used primarily as a diagnostic tool. If we suspect a certain disease or condition, we can use x-ray to confirm many different things (broken bones, bladder stones, cardiac disease).

How do you prepare your dog for their x-ray appointment?

From the owner’s standpoint, there isn’t much preparation involved. The only thing would be to make sure to fast your pet overnight if sedation will be required.
