Vaccinations

Protect your canine companion against dangerous diseases with a vaccination plan.

One of the very best things you can do to give your pet a long and healthy life is to ensure that they are vaccinated against common diseases. Vaccines are used as a preventative measure to help protect your dog from preventable diseases such as rabies and distemper.

What types of vaccinations do you offer for adult dogs?

Types of vaccines we offer for adult dogs are: Rabies, Canine Distemper, Leptospirosis, DA2PP, Bordetella, Hepatitis, and Lyme.

Is there a schedule for how often to vaccinate a dog?

A puppy needs to be vaccinated at 8 weeks of age with boosters at 12 weeks and 16 weeks. After that, the vaccine recommendation will depend on the lifestyle and needs of the individual pet. Dogs should be vaccinated again at the age of 1 year. Rabies and DA2PP are due every three years while other vaccines are yearly. You can vaccinate your dog for Bordetella every six months if they visit boarding facilities frequently.

Why is it important to vaccinate your dog?

By vaccinating your dog, you help protect your dog from various contagious, potentially fatal diseases including rabies, distemper, parvovirus, infectious hepatitis and Bordetella.
